From January to April, the industrial added value of textile enterprises above designated size increased by 15.4% year-on-year. The output of chemical fiber, yarn, cloth and clothing of enterprises above designated size increased by 22.1%, 25%, 14.5%, and 23.9% respectively year-on-year.

From January to April, textile enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 1,468.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.6%; realized total profits of 66.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 71.8%; operating income margin was 4.5%, 1.3 percentage points higher than the same period last year. From January to April, the retail sales of clothing, footwear, and knitting textiles above designated size was 444 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.1%; the national retail sales of online clothing products increased by 33.8% year-on-year.

From January to April, textile and clothing exports were US$88.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 32.8%, of which textile exports were US$44 billion, a year-on-year increase of 18%; clothing exports were US$44.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 51.7%.
