Recently, the China National Textile and Apparel Council (hereinafter referred to as China Textile Association) issued the "Guidelines for the Construction of Intelligent Manufacturing Standard System for Textile Industry (2018 Edition)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Building Guide"), and vigorously promoted the standardization of textile intelligent manufacturing.

The "Building Guide" focuses on the advantages of China's manufacturing industry, taking into account the needs of traditional industrial transformation and upgrading, and provides standard guidelines for promoting smart manufacturing in China. It will promote the construction of intelligent manufacturing standards system for textile industry and provide standard strategy and technical support for textile intelligent manufacturing.

The "Building Guide" clarifies that promoting smart manufacturing in the textile industry is an inevitable choice to promote the transformation and upgrading of the textile industry in the new era and create new advantages in international competition. It will foster a new round of industry for cultivating the new growth momentum of China's textile economy. The commanding heights of competition are of great significance and are important measures to promote textile manufacturing to the middle and high end and to achieve a strong textile country.

The "Building Guide" pointed out that although China's textile industry has achieved certain achievements in intelligent manufacturing, for example, the digitalization of equipment has reached a high level; the intelligentization of the production process has made significant progress; the intelligent operation of enterprises is advancing in depth; New modes of manufacturing new forms are emerging; smart manufacturing pilot demonstration projects lead the industry development. However, there are scattered, chaotic and slow problems in China's textile intelligent manufacturing standardization work, and the standardization work cannot keep up with the development needs of textile intelligent manufacturing practices.

The problem of textile intelligent manufacturing standardization work scattered, chaotic and slow is reflected in the lack of top-level design and overall planning for the intelligent manufacturing standardization work in China's textile industry. The research on standardization research subjects and resources is scattered. The research work only targets the intelligent individualized needs of enterprises. The lack of research on the common technology and standardization requirements of intelligent manufacturing, the research work of textile intelligent manufacturing standards can not be focused, the focus is not prominent, and the synergy is not formed. At the national level, the comprehensive standardization research and experimental verification project for textile-related intelligent manufacturing lacks effective communication mechanisms. There are cross-overs between projects, the research results are not systematic, and the application of results is very slow.

In order to promote the support and leading role of standards in the development of textile intelligent manufacturing, the "Building Guide" requires further research and improvement of the textile intelligent manufacturing standard system framework, promote the national intelligent manufacturing basic and key technical standards in the textile industry, and develop textile intelligence. Application standards for general, key technologies and professional fields in the manufacturing industry to accelerate the promotion and application of textile functional manufacturing standards.
